HS-10 stationed at NAS North Island (NASNI) on the northwest tip of Coronado Island. To reach NAS North Island from Interstate 5, take the Coronado-San Diego Bay Bridge.

Permanent vehicle stickers are issued by our Admin Department. Persons applying for a sticker for motorcycles must have a motorcycle safety course completion card or certificate. Regular access to the base requires a base sticker. When applying for your sticker, bring your driver’s license, auto registration, proof of insurance, and military identification card.

Temporary and visitor passes are also issued by the Naval Base Command Security department. Visitors must be cleared through the Security Office by hosting individuals or activities before a visitor pass will be issued. Telephone: 545-7413.

Military Family Housing:
All officers and enlisted personnel with accompanying dependents are eligible to apply for Military Family Housing (MFH). MFH is limited and must be applied for at the Assignment/Referral Office, located at Naval Station San Diego. Telephone: (619) 556-8443.

  • What to expect when you get here:
    Important note - it is important to know your sponsos telephone number prior to arrival and check-in at the duty office.
    •  You will be brought to the Duty office to be logged-in. During the process it is advisable to have all your records with you. (i.e.: ESR, Medical, Dental, etc...)
    •  You will then be taken to the Barracks to bunk with or room at the quarters you will be assign to for rest and unpacking of your belongings. At this point you will be either resting that evening or working that day depending on your sponsor or supervisor.
      • Married pointers
        • If you are married, ensure to have money on you. You are not allowed to stay in the barracks and be subject to stay at the Navy Lodge. The cost is $11.00 if you bunk with a roomate or $25.00 is you prefer to go solo. Prices may be subject to vary, Please call your closest Navy Lodge. Call  5 days ahead prior to your arrival and make a reservation.
        • Housing may take 10 days or more to get your family settled in. Do your research prior to you arrival to make your family transistion less stressful.
    • On that day or the next day the required Check-in packet  will be presented to you by the Admin office  for you to officially check-in into the command. You have one month to get the required signatures.To ensure your safety and protection, you cannot  roam in the command without somone escorting you. Ensure you have your Records with you (i.e.: ESR, Medical, Dental, etc...)
    • Once you have completed the Check-in process you will go to your shop for introduction and the  direction whether to stay in the shop or goto to the line shack is up to the LCPO of the Shop.
